Title: Tattoo

Author:  Jennifer Lynn Barnes

Summary: Bailey Morgan and her friends beautiful Delia, brilliant Annabelle, and tiny but tough Zo didn’t know what they were getting themselves into when they stood in the dressing room of the mall and applied the temporary tattoos purchased from a mysterious mall kiosk.  Because, unknown to the girls with each tattoo comes a special supernatural power.  The girls will have to use those powers combined with the knowledge found in Baliey’s frightening dreams to fight an ancient enemy that threatens all mankind, as well as the school’s big dance.

Who will like this book: Anyone who is a fan of fantasy/mythology and girl heros who are clever, speak their minds, and aren’t afraid of saving the world.  It’s rather like a modern day version of A Great and Terrible Beauty with a dash of Twilight.

If you like this, try this:  Libba Bray’s A Great and Terrible Beauty series, Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight series, or Annette Curtis Klause’s Blood and Chocolate.
